Baseball Skill Challenge

It's the baseball skills challenge day.  I decided to start with the obstacle course.  First you run from home to first base.

Then you run around the base.

Head to second, and make a zig zag toward the outfield.

Making sure to follow the lines.

After crawling through a cage, as an army crawl, then I had to jump over some hay bales.

Followed by rolling a tire from the outfield to third.

And to top it off, you have to jump over some more obstacles as you head to home.

Following the obstacles course, I took a lighter duty item, and did a ball toss into a bucket.

I did the outfield challenge, pretty well once I warmed up.

I caught most of them.

Then it was time for another race.

I actually kept up with these older girls, with the long legs, I came in second!

Batting was a bit hard, I don't like the pitching machines, takes a bit to get use to them.

I did well on my infield skill set.  I could toss the ball from anywhere in the infield to first base.

I didn't let very many balls go past me.

And I hit the first base board almost every time!

To end it off, I did some bouncing in the bounce house.

As well as some racing through the bounce set.

I think it turned out to be a good skill challenge for me.

This was a lot of fun!

Riders at School

Let's go bike riders!

Mother's Day at the Lilac Festival - Part 2

Well it started pouring outside, so we headed into the conservatory.  Always a favorite spot of ours.

We even found a seat in the cactus room!

Dad say this is his favorite room.

It's got a kinda calming effect in it.

The rain has stopped!  Let's head to the tulips!

And grab a frosty icey to eat on the way back to the car.

Of course you have to stop in the cutout tree, to have a bit of fun/

I mean it's almost a requirement to make funny faces and such :)

Or attack something like a T-Rex.

Or try to hide from Mom and Dad :)

On the way back to the car, we had to hide out for a bit under a tent... It started hailing!  Check out those big pieces of hail!

Mother's Day at the Lilac Festival - Part 1

We're heading up to the Lilac Festival, for Mother's day.  On the way we stopped at this horse.  I think it looks cool.

And here we are.. Mom and Me in front of a blooming lilac bush.

Dad got into the action as well.

Make sure to watch out for gopher holes.  They'll swallow you whole!

Another picture with Mom in front of a beautiful lilac!

I like the little ones.  They look cute.

And now for a run down the hill!

I'm fast... and this is tiring.

Almost back up it...

Made it!

How was my time on that run Dad?

Mom is being a goofball!  She thinks this is funny :)

The sky is clear and sunny right now... Although rain might be on the way.

Time for another run down the hill.

And back up the hill.

This is way tiring.... I think I'm going to slip.... ahhhhhhhhh.... :)

Okay, I think I'll take a break now.  I need a bit of a rest.

And of course it's always time to stop and smell the lilacs.

The pansy bed this yea has awesome smiley faces!

Makes me want to cheer! (Go Cavs!)

Now this tree here, is really good to climb on.

You just have to find the right way to get where you are going...

Or you could try from the base where it is split into three :)

I will say this rock looks like it came from outer-space.  It is quite a cool big rock.

Time for another picture in front of a flowering bush.

This was one of the few azaleas flowering in the area at the time.

But it did look quite pretty.

We made it to the top! Time to get the special treat of fried dough!

And I even got to pet a police horse who came up here.  He was very nice.
