Water Sports Back at the Hotel

Pedal boats seem my kinda ride.

Do you know how to steer this thing?!

Hi, Dad! This is actually really fun.

We're pretty far out on the water.

I'm going to make a big loop on Mirror Lake.

The scenery here is very pretty too.

Now we have to start pedaling back to the dock.

AHHH! The sun on the water is SO BRIGHT! I think I've been blinded.

Hi, Dad! We're on our way back to you!

A cloud! I can see to dock this thing.

Fishing Again outside Lake Placid

A new day, a new fishing spot.

Finding the fish is kind of difficult.

I like the shade under the bridge, maybe they will too.

No luck here either, but I still had fun.

Wrap up to a Busy Day

We had a really fun day, and a really good dinner. I love vacation.

Fishing on the Way Back to Lake Placid

Sometimes all that humidity means it rains quick, but then it's nice for fishing.

I got my gear from the car.

I am so ready to catch a fish!

A little rain never stopped a fisherman.

There is a bend in the river here, I hope fish like it.

Instead of Where's Waldo?, this picture is Where am I? I'm in here!

I didn't catch anything, but I really enjoyed it.

Whiteface Mountain- At the Top & Back Down

We made it the to top! There are no railings.

Mom and I appreciate a nice bench after a hike.

The sign at the high point. It may be only 250 feet of elevation, but it was 10 times more steps!

We got a family group picture!

Dad and I totally rocked this climb.

Happy Birthday, Mom! This is pretty cool.

The view is awesome from every angle.

It feels a little weird to duck down on a mountain, but the shot looks cool.

I think they should name this spot Contemplation Point.

Another great family group picture.

It was a lot cooler at the summit, so refreshing.

Time to head back down.

Down is easier!

Mom agrees. And the view is still great.

Dad also thought that was awesome.

It was really hot and humid back in the valley, so we got A&W rootbeer floats.

Whiteface Mountain- The Climb Up

The parking area isn't even the top of this mountain, but we are really high up- over 4,000 feet.

Mom, are you sure the air isn't too thin up here?

Mom says me sitting in this chair is giving her deja vu.

Okay, this is the start of the walking path to the top, we can do this!

Dad and I are ready to rock this climb.

Umm, all that way?!

It was a great view, even if it was a little hazy.

I like the railings, especially on the extra rocky bits.

Dad and I stopped to enjoy the view on the way up.

Alright, Mom, stay to this side. We're almost to the top!

Going into the Wilderness for Mom's Birthday

It's best to get a good breakfast before hiking.

Dad and I recreated our chess game set up from yesterday for documentation purposes, but it's time to go!

Singing in the car.

I really am excited to get up in the mountains.
