Lake Placid - Day 2 - Ausable Chasm - November

 

Its time to head off on a trip to somewhere fun.

Off to Ausable Chasm we go!

Check it out, this naturally occurring spot looks like an elephant!

The view of the chasm is cool!

We're starting with the path right down by the river.

Mom and Me, striking a pose against the wall.

 Group shot, against the moss covered walls.

It is a pretty place down here.

Great group shoot, with the walls behind us!

Some of the bridges are really narrow, but Mom and Me made it across them okay.

Now I am a good looking guy, hanging down here in the chasm.

Now this dripping wall of water and moss is awesome!

Dad and I rocking out, in our usual pose.

All this walking as heated us up, Mom's already removed her coat.

The views here, of the water falling and such is beautiful!

A BENCH! I love me a good bench to sit down and relax on.

Rocking it out in the woods!

We headed down the big dry gully, it was amazing!

I mean look at this place, it's right out of a D&D adventure!

Watch out Mom, there might be Orc archers above!

Dad and Me are ready for battle, on this wandering road.

And it keeps going, this is an amazing spot!

The striation in the wall are cool!

We're going that way!

 This path is interesting, let us see where it leads.

We're basically trying to walk the whole area.

A bench.. Another bench to rest my weary legs!

Yes, I've gotten to warm to wear the coat, but I found another bench to sit on!

And now to the smaller dry gorge.

This one is actually a bit different then the other, but still neat.

The walk, and the walls have been a lot of fun!

Well we're almost finished, that small bridge in the background is where we started the walk today.
 

Okay, one last bench sit, then I'm ready to head out of here.
