Renaissance Festival

After Dad let me throw the throwing stars, he used the throwing knives.  He said he use to be better at it.  I said he needs to practice again.

Mom, on the other hand, tried to demonstrate the proper technique to throw the axe.  She got close to the target a couple times.

I am SOOOOO ready to watch Don Juan and Miguel!

It was raining, and people were blocking the stage with their umbrellas, so Dad held me on his shoulders against the tree.  This way I could see the show better.  It was awesome!

I even got my picture with them.  See I've got Miguel held hostage.

Dad got his picture with them as well.

Apparently Mom has magic hands :)  I think that joke went over my head.

Okay Dad, we've got 20 arrows, let's go shoot the bow!

Dad helped me a little bit.  Mostly give me a firm hold on the bow.  I did most of the loading, the pulling back, the aiming, and the releasing.  I did really good!

I did try to climb the Jacob's ladder.  It was A LOT harder than I thought it would be.

I took my tumbles well though, and really enjoyed myself on it.

Afterwards I ate the biggest pickle I've ever seen!

Even got to have my picture with the guy dressed like a tree figure.

Hey it's a family tree... ha ha ha ha.

Next I challenged Daddy to a fight.  Him with a foam sword, me with a wooden axe.

I then pulled a plastic sword on him... I think my two weapons to his one, should allow me to win!

I coerced a bunch of other kids to help me attack Daddy.

We had to fend off an entire crew of us.

Then it was back to me vs. Daddy.

 I think I won!

I even got to ride the warhorses again.
I've got my sword positioned well...

And then around the track we went... Weeeeee

Although I think I found my favorite thing to do.  The HUGE Slide.  After Daddy took me down the first time, I went by myself two more times!

This was a great day, and lots of fun at the Sterling Renaissance Festival.  I almost fell asleep at the end, making Daddy carry me to the car :)

My First Baseball Game

So we went to the Red Wings Baseball game, and guess what... it was STAR WARS night!

Me and Dad surveying the field, he was pointing out things on it.

I even got a ball from the ground's keeper.

Hey look, my friends from school have arrived!

Okay Dad, ready to go out and hold the flag up with my school?

This is cool Dad, we're on the field, and holding the flag.

I've even got my best friend H next to me.

 This is so much fun!

Me and H in our Star Wars masks.

Dad, I loved the baseball game... Even if it rained... It was awesome!

And I was so worn out, I fell asleep at the end of the fireworks, and had to have Dad carry me out to the car.

F's Birthday Party

Up the steps, to the slide.

And down the slide I go!

Now it is time to swing from the bars.

 With the greatest of ease.

And for my last trick.. I shall bounce this ball out of the trampoline, while in the air.

Catapult

We got out Dad's Catapult...

And loaded it with Pom-Poms to launch at the couch.

Oh No Mom... You are in the way.

Let's just fire at her Dad.

INCOMING!

Cooking

So, I'm helping Mom make dinner.

We picked the zucchinis, and then Dad helped me cut them up.

Would you look at that zucchini fish I made, is it not awesome!

Playing with Construx

So Dad got me out his construx (still had a small basket worth), and helped me make a cool army airplane, with lots of missiles and such.

 I helped design it.

These are fun to play with.  I'm glad Dad always tried to keep his old toys, now I get to have them.
